When I first began driving, I realized that I had some trouble with having a good sense of direction, and everyone else knew it, too. So, I did have some people tease me when I told them I was going to school to learn to drive trucks. But in school, I learned what the best truck GPS for 2018 is and I bought one that I use every day. It works well, and it has never failed me. In fact, it has helped me to learn my usual routes so well that I probably wouldn’t have much problem if I chose to turn it off and drive without it. However, I always make sure that I have it with me because my routes can change from time-to-time.

My dad was a truck driver when I was growing up. He often hauled all sorts of shipments across the US. When he had an in-state haul, he sometimes let me come with him during my summer and holiday breaks from school. I loved sitting in the passenger seat and seeing the sights with him. We had really nice, long talks together on those trips, and we really bonded. He drove a semi, and most of them have a sleeping area in the cab. I loved to get up into the bed and look out through the front window as dad drove, too.

Dad’s career as a trucker is what made me want to choose the same for my own career. He’s retired now, but I have often invited him on some of my jobs with me when I have an in-state run to do. Now, dad sits in the passenger seat and I am the driver. Just like when I was a little girl, we still have long talks and enjoy looking at the scenery together. I’m really grateful that we can still do something that we both loved to do when I was a kid. He’s pretty proud of me, and that means a lot to me.

I didn’t realize what a sentimental person I can be until I went home for a Christmas vacation and my mom dragged out some of my old things from my childhood and teen years. She pulled out boxes and boxes of my stuff, and I was most pleased when she pulled out my old records. They were very dusty. She told me that I needed to learn how to clean vinyl records if I planned on playing any of them again. She said that, if you don’t do that, you can end up scratching them and making them unplayable. She also had my old record player and I wanted to hear some of the old music that I listened to, so I planned to take all of my albums home with me.

I plan on retiring from my bookkeeper job this fall and am worried if I will be able to financially afford it on my pension alone. I also worry that I will become bored and sedentary with too much time on my hands. Of course, I will enjoy having my days freed up especially with the holidays quickly approaching. I started looking for a dry trimming machine right off the bat when the state finally legalized marijuana and we turned legitimate. In the bad old days, which weren’t all that long ago actually, it was possible to trim your buds by hand. Why wouldn’t it have been easy? We weren’t selling all that much because it was so risky to grow a lot. We would grow enough for a few pounds and do all the trimming by hand. It took a long time, and didn’t look as good, but it did the job. People weren’t picky back then.

When I moved to Regina, I was pretty happy because it was a new start for me. I had been living in the United States for a while, but I was never able to fully feel comfortable there. When a job opportunity opened up in Regina, I immediately took advantage of it. I was able to find a really nice house to rent as well. It was not until I had been living here for about a month that I realized I should check a Regina insurance company about getting renter’s insurance.

I did not have a lot of valuable possessions, but I would still suffer a significant loss if anything were to happen to my things. If my house would catch fire when I am at work, I would more than likely lose everything because it is several miles from the fire station. I was not looking for anything fancy when I decided to investigate some apartments for Brandon FL residents. I was just in the mood for a change, and I was looking to upgrade from where I had been living before I moved. Still, I was not looking for anything fancy at all. I just wanted something better, that is all. I found both! I knew as soon as I started looking at the picture gallery on the website for Overlook that I was going to really enjoy living there. I got here a couple of weeks ago and all of my stuff is currently in one of those storage units in Orillia. For now I am living in a hotel, but they are going to have the apartment ready in a week or two. Apparently there are not too many places here, at least not many which met the ideas I had. The town is in between Lake Couchiching and Lake Simcoe, about forty minutes North of Toronto by car I would guess. At least that was how long it took when I cam up here. I’m the kind of person who takes great lengths to take care of my car. I wash it once a week, regardless of whether rain will fall or not. I regularly change the oil and give the car a diagnostic to make sure all of the parts are functioning properly. I even check the pressure of all the tyres and the spare tyre. Sometimes proper care can’t overcome unforeseen circumstances. While driving one day, I ran over something and blew a tyre in Dandenong. I pulled over to the side of the road and took out my spare tyre and put it on the car. I started driving again, bu then I ran over something else and blew the spare tyre.

I had no choice but to find a tyre shop as close to my location as possible and buy a replacement there. I used my phone to plan a route to the closest store and use what little bit of air I had in the spare tyre to get there. Continue reading →
